2007 OKAPA Bylaws Amendment
Summary
of 2007Changes
This
is a brief summary of the amendments to the Chapter Bylaws:
Article 4 Section 4.1:
-
To separate the
Professional Development Officer (PDO) and Vice President positions.
-
Allowing the chapter to
vote for a Vice-President / President Elect, which position would
transition into the President at the end of the current President’s
term.

Student representative and
planning commissioner are optional focused positions, to provide
flexibility in times that such positions remain unfilled.
Article 4 Section 4.2.1:
-
Adding
‘Vice-President/President Elect,’ ‘Immediate Past President,’ and
‘Professional Development Officer’ to the list of term limits.
Article 5 Section 5.1:
-
Making appropriate
amendments to the duties of the ‘Vice-president-President Elect’.

Adding a section, Section
5.1.5, setting forth the duties of the Professional Development Officer
(PDO).

Adding a section, Section
5.1.6, setting forth the duties of the ‘Immediate Past President’.
Article 6 Section 6.1.2:
-
Adding the following to the
Professional Development Committee section: “The Chairperson of this
committee shall be the Professional Development Officer. The
Vice-President/President Elect shall serve on this Committee.”
Article 3 Section 3.5

Allowing Board, committees, or Chapter to vote by electronic means.
